Rammstein for BDO 2010?
German metal outfit Rammstien have voiced their desire to return to Australia to join the party for summer’s biggest festival, Big Day Out. Speaking with FasterLouder this week, bassist Oliver ‘Ollie’ Reidel says he hopes the band will be added to what is beginning to sound like one hell of a bill, if countless speculations and idle gossip are anything to go by.
“We would really like to get on the Big Day Out tour again, but we don’t know yet if it’s going to happen. It would definitely be my dream scenario if Rammstein, Limp Bizkit and Korn toured together,” said Reidel.
Well Limp Bizkit are definitely out according to BDO bigwigs, but with last week’s global premiere of Rammstein’s new song “Pussy” and album Leibe Ist Fũr Alle Da on the way, it’s a distinct possibility that the six-piece will unleash some fury on audiences around Oz early next year.
Rammstein last thrilled Big Day Out audiences in 2001, dazzling innocent, young minds with hellish fire displays and industrial galvanised outfits. The announcement for Big Day Out’s 2010 line-up is imminent people so watch this space.
