Muse Caught Lip Synching Live on Italian Television
When you’ve got a number one record on your hands, as well as a reputation for your stellar live shows, you can be excused for not wanting to play by anyone else’s rules. This is exactly the kind of mentality employed by Muse when they arrived to promote their new album The Resistance on an Italian television show last night. Preparing to play their killer new single Uprsing, the English rockers were instructed to lip synch rather than play the song live. The request resulted in singer Matt Bellamy swapping places with drummer Dominic Howard to perform a unique, if not riveting version of the song to an oblivious audience and host.
See if you can spot where the band slips up and reveal themselves to be playing along with a pre-recorded track.
Moral of the story? Don’t tell Muse to lip synch. They’ll just wear silly glasses and make sure your TV show looses credibility.
