Second show announced for Sydney Big Day Out 2010

Submitted by admin on October 8, 2009 – 12:25 pmNo Comment

In light of the crazy record-breaking time that Sydney’s Big Day Out 2010 tickets sold out in, promoters have listened hard and answered the prayers of many by announcing a second show!

The media’s been playing the blame game, with accusations flying left, right, and centre that technical glitches in the online purchasing system meant that fans were able to buy their tickets ahead of schedule. Whatever the case, when you have a festival this huge, there’s bound to be issues. Splendour in the Grass and Qjump anyone?

This is only the second time in the festivals 18 year history that a second show has been granted in any one city. Those who missed out on tickets for Friday the 22nd of January can make amends and vye for tickets for the following day, Saturday the 23rd of January.

The extra date will also mark the Big Day Out’s 100th show, an anniversary that a lot of us, I’m sure, have had a hand in making. It’s going to be one hell of a party.

Tickets for the second Sydney show go on sale on Monday 12th October. Good luck Sydney-siders!
