Promoters from the Big Day Out 2010 crew have announced they will bring back the ballot system this year, after record breaking ticket sales had the Sydney and Gold Coast shows sold out within minutes.

The ballot will give 5000 lucky punters a second stab at grabbing tickets to the biggest festival of the summer season.

Those who are keen and desperate can register their details from Thursday 15^th October at 9am on the official website, where 500 tickets will be given away each week from the 22^nd October until the 24^th December. The ideal Christmas pressie surely? Transactions will be strictly limited to 2 tickets per customer.

Although the ballot system has given fans a second crack at snagging tickets, Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth attendees should be feeling pretty nervous right about now.
