Up for a bit of Hockey?

Submitted by admin on November 25, 2009 – 11:50 amNo Comment

If the Laneway Festival line-up didn’t already bring joy to your musical ears, then I suggest you clean them out and listen here. Indie dance rockers Hockey are jet-setting their Oregon asses to Australia to perform not only at the festival, but also two side shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

The very talented boys are taking a break from performing overseas at festivals such as Glastonbury, The Park, Bonnaroo and along side Friendly Fires. Instead these ‘scruffy bike-riding vegans’ have decided to come down-under and pleasure us with some wild dancing, hip shaking songs from their debut album ‘Mind Chaos’.

Their most recent single ‘Too Fake’ received huge radio support on indie stations all around the world. So if you’re into sweet dance lyrics melting from the mouths of cute boys then check them out here - www.myspace.com/hockey.

Dibbed an ‘American new wave’ I suggest you get personal with these ‘Strokes’ sounding delights in small venues before it’s too late. Yes you heard correctly – grab your floaties and togs, their infectious dance music will soon drown us all… Not that I am complaining!

Make sure you’re in line for tickets on Thursday 26th November and check them out at the Metro Theatre in Sydney on Thursday 28th January or Wednesday 3rd February at the Hi Fi in Melbourne.
