Them Crooked Vultures announce support acts

Submitted by Carley Hall on January 20, 2010 – 7:36 pmNo Comment

We have all been getting very excited about the upcoming tour from THEM CROOKED VULTURES and we finally know who will be supporting this trio of musical geniuses at their shows around the country.

Kicking off the tour in PERTH will be The Novocaines, a Triple J Unearthed band whose punk rock styling’s also saw them feature as ‘next crop’ artists on Triple J radio. It is said that this band has gained wide recognition for their ferocious onstage presence.

Warming us up in BRISBANE with their spontaneous energy and bone rattling sound will be the genre bending Zeahorse, who refuse to be labelled just as grunge or punk but seek to break all moulds.

Both MELBOURNE shows will see Sailors and Swine bring their dark rock style to the stage. Said to harbour “blood soaked narratives and twanging guitars” (Time Out Brisbane), their performance will no doubt get you in the mood.

Returning from some time in the US of A, The Art (formally known as The Follow) are ready to show their hometown of SYDNEY just how much they have grown. Giving us a taste of their high energy performances that have captivated audiences near and far, The Art will be supporting Them Crooked Vultures at the JANUARY 26 show.

Crowds at the SECOND SYDNEY SHOW best stay alert, Melbourne rockers Fangs are taking the stage. Praised for their “highly animated and impassioned performance” style (FasterLouder.com.au), their suave showmanship and anthemic tunes will knock you off your sensibilities and into the mosh pit in no time.

Local Kiwi band CAIRO KNIFE FIGHT will be opening the show in both WELLINGTON and AUCKLAND. It is said that their unique sound is best described as a mix of rock, soul and beats as their songs grow, twist and turn against a solid rhythm section.

Tickets to the first Melbourne and Sydney shows sold out weeks ago and the rest will surely follow, get yours now.
