Due to massive popular demand, THE DEAD WEATHER have just announced they will be playing an additional show in Canberra on the upcoming Australian tour.

The band will be performing at the Australian National University’s ANU Bar on Thursday 25 March, supported by New Zealand punk band STREET CHANT, who will be opening for all shows on tour.

If you didn’t know already, TDW is made up of a kind of rock-royalty list; featuring Alison Mosshart of The Kills on lead vocals, Jack White, (originally of The White Stripes) behind the drums, White’s Raconteur bandmate Jack Lawrence on bass and former Raconteur Dean Fertita, also of Queens of the Stone Age, on guitar.

The band’s debut album Horehound has received great praise from both music lovers and critics alike since its release in July 2009, being listed on numerous Top 10 albums of 2009 lists, including the US Spin Magazine.

Tickets for the Canberra show will be on sale from Friday Feb 19.

All other shows are on sale now with the exception of the first Melbourne show, which is sold out.
