5.1 RE-MASTERS – APRIL 2^ND 2010

This would have to be something that many Nick Cave fans have been waiting for, for quite some time. It has just been announced that Mute along with Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds will create a potential masterpiece that will ultimately see the band’s entire studio album catalogue digitally re-mastered and remixed for 5.1 Surround Sound for the first time since their original release.

We will see the likes of Tender Prey, The Good Son and Henry’s Dream beautifully re-mastered and released on 2^nd April 2010, each as a separate deluxe double-disc collector’s edition.

Providing a hint of nostalgia, the epic releases will include favourites such as The Mercy Seat, Sunday Slave, Lucy and Jack The Ripper. Each separate deluxe edition will contain the re-mastered stereo album, the new surround mix, a specially commissioned short film by UK artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard as well as the b-sides from the singles, videos and exclusive sleeve notes.

From previous album successes that include From Her To Eternity, The Firstborn Is Dead, Kicking Against The Pricks and Your Funeral… My Trial, this highly anticipated collaboration and experiment will surely be welcomed with open arms.
