There’s no one that quite compares to the quirks and wonders of Mr Mickey Avalon. He is an enigma within himself, a being of mystery. But at the same time we seem to know so much about him. Yes, I am referring to the fact that he once was a male prostitute. Regardless of his hard-to-believe past, this young gentleman puts on one hell-of-a show, one that will leave you weak at knees and perhaps a little bit insulted at the same time.

With his entourage of many followers that include several “DJs” and his main supporting act ‘Beardo’, the rapper will cease to amaze you with his dirty lyrics, inappropriate gestures and of course, you wouldn’t be at a Mickey Avalon performance without a couple of semi-naked girls on stage. As washed-up and ultimately f****d-up as he may appear onstage, Avalon still manages to woo the crowd by also getting semi-naked and sculling Jack Daniels straight from the bottle. You would think he would be passed out by this stage, but no. The rocker keeps rocking and the crowd keep cheering.

I had a feeling that the likes of Byron Bay may not be able to handle the wrath of Mickey Avalon but alas, I was proven wrong when the crowd knew every word to ‘My Dick’ and ‘F****n’ Em All’. Clearly this artist is one who doesn’t particularly care who he offends or writes-off in the process of entertaining his fans, and Mickey, we love you for it.
