Gaga - Love or hate her, she heading for #1 again.
Telephone feat. Beyonce is about to nab the number one spot on the US Billboard Pop Songs chart, Lady GaGa’s sixth consecutive record to do so.
With just her first six single releases, she is now tied with Mariah Carey for the most number one records in the chart’s history. The electric dance song comes from her second album, The Fame Monster, which was released late last year. Telephone is currently sitting at number 11 on the Australian singles chart.
GaGa is also set to release her much-anticipated video for Telephone this Friday at 4 PM EST (Australian time). The video will actually premiere on entertainment network E! USA at 11.30 PM Thursday night, and Vevo.com worldwide at midnight. It’s apparently a 10-minute long mini-movie, which will continue the story from the video for Paparazzi (2009). Rumor has it that an all-female shower scene is also featured, for those of you who are into that stuff.
While GaGa continues to set the charts on fire, her true musical abilities shine through in her live shows. Arriving in Australia in a week’s time, GaGa will be kicking off her Aussie leg of the sold out Monster Ball Tour in Sydney and will be here for almost a month. The engagement, which was planned to be reasonably small, is now a massive arena production that has received incredible reviews in the UK. Due to substantial demand her team announced several more shows that are now also practically sold out. There’s limited tickets still available for the Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth shows at Ticketek.com.
Lady GaGa’s debut album The Fame has sold over 10 million copies worldwide.
